Minister of Revenue, Registration & Land Reforms, Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs of Jharkhand Mr. Amar Kumar Bauri on Wednesday called upon the various states and UT of India to visit Jharkhand to acquaint them with its rich diversities in the field of art, culture, tourism, heritage and host of its other such natural beauties.

Visiting various stalls of the State at  31st Surajkund International Crafts Mela which began here today and in which Jharkhand is participating as the Theme State for 2017 Mela, the Minister admitted that the Mela had provided the state of Jharkhand with a  unique opportunity to showcase  its cultural heritage to the rest of India and various other parts of the globe.

He thanked and expressed his gratitude towards Ministry of Tourism, Surajkund Mela Authority & Haryana Tourism for offering this opportunity to Jharkhand for being Theme State adding that Jharkhand has tried to showcase all its strength in terms of art and culture and religious supremacy in the mela.   Prominent among them include Maluti Temple situated in Santhal Pergana Region which got prominence as Commemorative structures of the state due to its social connect with the people of Jharkhand.

Mr. Bauri during his visit greeted everyone on the occasion of inauguration ceremony, pointing out that Jharkhand became a separate state in the year 2000. “The day when it became a state that day was very auspicious as it was the birth date of Birsa Munda.  It could not earlier show the culture and the language of Jharkhand to the world. With the help of Surajkund Mela, for the first time, the State is able to show everyone and let everyone know about its culture, tradition, language and food as Surajkund played a very important role in the exposure of Jharkhand”, he said.

The Minister hoped that with the State’s exposure at Surajkund, it would  become a foremost tourist destination in India and attract large number of tourists in the state.

The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry  is facilitating the Government of Jharkhand through the Administration of Haryana Tourism to provide visibility to  the State of Jharkhand  effectively in the mela with all its products, art , culture, cuisine, artisans  and artists, performers at the carnival and cultural programs and services  in an effective manner.
